The mission of the Center for Clinical and Research Informatics (CCRI) is to preserve and improve human life through innovative collection and use of clinical data. CCRI builds upon NorthShore's award-winning electronic health record and extensive data warehouse to be a nationally recognized leader in clinical research informatics.
Led by internationally known informatician, Jonathan Silverstein, MD, CCRI supports matrix staff reporting across NorthShore (e.g. Enterprise Data Warehouse team, Epic Optimization team, Business Analytics team, Research Institute). CCRI is governed by a Steering Committee Co-Chaired by Research Institute President, Leopold G. Selker, PhD, and Chief Medical Quality Officer, Ken Anderson, MD, which includes selected NorthShore Presidents and Clinical Chairs as well as NorthShore President and CEO, Mark Neaman.
Since opening in January 2011, CCRI has recruited to NorthShore seven faculty, thirteen staff, and has engaged more than sixty quality improvement and research projects. CCRI is recruiting two additional faculty directors working across a wide range of medical domains and computational methods to solve complex clinical challenges, ultimately changing the way medicine is practiced.
