Mission

Research LabNorthShore University HealthSystem's (NorthShore) commitment to research allows the NorthShore University HealthSystem Research Institute to adhere to its mission:

  • Enhance the academic medical center environment at NorthShore
  • Create an environment and an endowment to recruit/retain externally funded research leadership
  • Provide means for integrating "leading edge" research activities into clinical activities
  • Develop additional "prestige" factors to recruit the nation's top clinicians and to differentiate NorthShore and its clinicians in the marketplace
  • Establish linkages to area corporations and The University of Chicago to enhance research and its funding
