EpicCare Recompetency Assessment

All EpicCare users will be deactivated after 120 days of inactivity.

Reactivation 

Competency Assessment not completed within past 12 months
For reactivation, a Recompetency Assessment must be taken if a Competency Assessment has not been completed within the past 12 months.

Review 

The system has undergone a series of updates, which are reflected in our current assessments. To review those updates prior to taking the assessment, you may access the lessons via Online Learning

To review the most up to date courses and lessons: 

  • Log into Online Learning
  • Select "Epic" from Courses by Subject
  • Choose "All" in Status Filter
  • Enter course name in Course Search
  • Review Lessons

Note: You may review the lessons in any order but the Recompetency Assessment must be completed in sequence.

EpicCare Recompetency Assessment 

Follow this Access to Online Learning link to receive instructions and begin your assessment. 

  • Log into Online Learning
  • Select "Epic" from Courses by Subject
  • Choose "All" in Status Filter
  • Enter name of the assessment (e.g., Inpatient (IP) Physician Assessment) in Course Serach
  • Complete all parts of the assessment

You are allowed two attempts to pass the Assessment with a minimum score of 85%. If you do not pass the assessment, please contact your Physician Epic Training Coordinator immediately to set up a live competency assessment session with a trainer on our NorthShore University HealthSystem campus.

How to obtain your reactivated user ID and password 

Contact the NorthShore University HealthSystem Help Desk at 847.982.5170. They will verify your identify, reset your password and confirm your user ID if necessary.

Reactivation may take up to 48 business hours.
