The NorthShore University HealthSystem Medical Group (NorthShore) Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, Allergy and Immunology is recruiting three pulmonary and critical care physicians to expand our clinical inpatient and outpatient services. The 16 member Pulmonary and Critical Care Division provides all aspects of inpatient and outpatient pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine across the North Shore suburbs spanning from Chicago to the Wisconsin border. The new physicians will focus their inpatient and outpatient clinical activities at the Skokie Hospital campus, but will have opportunities to integrate their services across the division and health system. On-call responsibilities will be 1:4.
All physicians should be BC/BE in pulmonary and critical care medicine, must have a strong patient care orientation as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. In addition:
- One candidate should have expertise in managing patients with pulmonary vascular disease/pulmonary hypertension. This physician will take the lead in developing and directing our pulmonary hypertension program in collaboration with members from our division and clinicians from the NorthShore Cardiovascular Institute.
- One candidate should also be BC/BE in sleep medicine to grow our expanding multidisciplinary sleep medicine program.
- One candidate will assume the role of medical director of the Skokie Hospital ICU. BC/BE in sleep medicine for this position is not required.
