NorthShore’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences has particular strengths in areas of mental health services for adolescents and young adults. Programs for adolescents include inpatient services, partial hospital, intensive outpatient services, eating disorders program, and a therapeutic day school. Additionally, there are numerous psychologists and psychiatrists performing outpatient treatment. Relevant to this position, the Department has a longstanding and well-known Neuropsychology Service, with strong ties to the very large neurology and neuroscience group at NorthShore.
Qualified candidates will possess a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology specializing in Pediatric Neuropsychology and be licensed or license eligible as a Clinical Psychologist in the state of Illinois. Successful candidates for this position will have completed a two-year APPCN residency in Pediatric Neuropsychology and be on track to become board certified by ABCN. Skills and personal qualities that facilitate program development and effective collaboration with physicians from other Departments, school system personnel, and the community are necessary.
