The Department of Family Medicine at NorthShore University HealthSystem, the principal teaching affiliate of the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, seeks family physicians who are passionate about teaching family medicine residents and medical students and the care of families to join our faculty on the NorthShore campus.
Applicants must be board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine by ABFM or AOBFP. These residency faculty roles will include attending on the adult family medicine inpatient teaching service, office-based family medicine care and resident precepting, teaching residents in maternal child health care including obstetrical care and deliveries, teaching residents and medical students in formal settings, and curriculum & program design.
There are many research and other scholarly opportunities and you will be proposed for a clinical faculty appointment at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. Additional faculty development in teaching skills, curriculum design, and clinical scholarship (including publication) is available. Family physicians with at least two years of teaching experience, and/or fellowship training, and/or a masters level degree are encouraged to apply.
