The Pediatric Clinic of NorthShore University HealthSystem provides a multidisciplinary team approach, which includes Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Speech-Language Therapy for children with special needs, from birth through adolescence.
Individual and group therapy interventions are available at the clinic. In some cases, children may be seen off-site for consultation at day care centers and schools.
Our philosophy of patient care is to provide the most effective treatment approaches in a play-oriented setting to maximize the child’s functional abilities. We recognize the importance of family involvement in treatment planning and implementation. Home program follow through is an integral part of the cooperative effort among parents, caregivers, the child and therapists. Social work services are available. Our therapists regularly consult with medical specialists, pediatricians, educational personnel, social services, and outside agencies to provide the most comprehensive treatment possible.
The clinic accepts insurances that are accepted by NorthShore University HealthSystem. Parents are responsible for verifying coverage prior to initiation of therapy. We also accept funding sources through the Illinois Early Intervention Program, as well as those funded through the Department of Specialized Care for Children.
