NorthShore PBRN

The NorthShore Practice-Based Improvement Research Network (NorthShore PBRN) is an innovative concept in primary care medicine. It links practicing clinicians with research, quality improvement, support and resources to produce solutions and enhance their practice. Our ultimate goal is to produce outcomes that are relevant and easily assimilated into everyday practice. 

The NorthShore PBRN is located on the north side of Chicago in northern Cook County and Lake County, Illinois.  It includes practices in family medicine, general internal medicine, hospital medicine, general pediatrics and OB/GYN. Currently, the NorthShore PBRN represents the patients and staff of 34 primary care practices and 350 clinicians. 

Our mission is to "preserve and improve human life" by engaging clinicians, staff and patients in the pursuit, development and dissemination of knowledge needed to provide healthcare that is safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient and equitable.
