The Pain Management Centers at NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore) have highly experienced, board-certified pain management physicians skilled in treating patients with both acute and chronic painful conditions. Our specialists work with each patient to develop an individualized, holistic plan to reduce pain and help patients live a full, healthy life.
We take a multidisciplinary approach to pain management, and can connect patients to services throughout our world-class institution to enhance the healing process. In addition to our physicians, we are one of the only centers in the Midwest to employ a full-time pain management pharmacologist.
While some pain is expected in everyone’s life, at times pain can become severe and not responsive to the usual medications. Pain can affect every aspect of life, from your relationships with loved ones to productivity at work.
Pain management centers are available to consult with you and your physician to design a personalized pain management plan for a wide variety of painful conditions. This plan may include injections, medications, acupuncture or physical therapy. In more advanced situations, implantable pain management devices may be an option.
Our goal is to make pain manageable and to allow you to return to a full and active life.
