The Kellogg Cancer Center’s Oncology Patient Advisory Board, formed in 2006 and comprised of 25 members, provides an opportunity for patients to give input and feedback regarding their experiences. The group includes current and former patients, family members and caregivers who help provide the best possible experience to patients at Kellogg Cancer Center and meet their needs. The Board meets quarterly in order to provide timely feedback and opinions. Board members are selected based on Kellogg physician and nurse recommendations.

The Oncology Patient Advisory Board provided input on the services and amenities of the Evanston Hospital Kellogg Cancer Center when it was renovated in 2010.

The Goals of the Oncology Patient Advisory Board are:

  • To improve patient satisfaction by soliciting and listening to feedback
  • Strengthen Kellogg Cancer Center’s communication with patients and the community
  • Help allocate funds to address identified patient needs.
