Our colorectal surgeons employ the latest technologies and minimally invasive techniques including laparoscopic colon surgery and robotic colon and rectal surgery.
The program is lead by Dr. Joseph Muldoon, Section Head of Colorectal Surgery, who has a long and established reputation as an outstanding clinician and colorectal surgeon. Dr. Muldoon is joined by Dr. James Spitz, a fellowship-trained surgeon who specializes in benign and malignant diseases of the colon and rectum. The newest addition to the program is Dr. Marc Singer, also a board certified colon and rectal surgeon, whose clinical expertise lies in anorectal diseases and minimally invasive surgery.
Each surgeon’s expertise allows NorthShore to remain on the forefront of medicine as new technologies are explored and research is done to better understand colon and rectal disease.
