Dr. Michael J. Goldberg is the Head of the Division of Gastroenterology specializing in gastroenterology and hepatology. His main area of interest is pancreaticobiliary tract disease and colon cancer prevention and detection. Since joining the GI Division in 1999, Dr. Goldberg has significantly expanded the division’s services by adding physicians, technology, clinical research and expanded educational components. He helped to establish two new research centers at NorthShore University HealthSystem, a colorectal cancer research and genetics center and a pancreatic cancer research clinic. Before becoming the Division Head for NorthShore University HealthSystem GI, Dr. Goldberg was the Director of Therapeutic Endoscopy at the University of Chicago Hospitals as well as the Chief of Gastroenterology at Weiss Memorial Hospital. Dr. Goldberg practices at both Evanston and Glenbrook Hospitals.

Dr Eli D Ehrenpreis is the Chief of Gastroenterology and Head of Endoscopy at Highland Park Hospital. He is Board Certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine and is Board Eligible in Clinical Pharmacology. Dr Ehrenpreis’ practice is focused on general gastroenterology. He has special research interest in functional bowel disorders, radiation injury of the gastrointestinal tract, microscopic and other forms of colitis, pelvic floor disorders and mesenteric panniculitis. He has developed several novel treatments for these conditions. Dr Ehrenpreis has published more than 60 original articles and 16 review articles on subjects related to gastrointestinal disease and clinical pharmacology. He has authored 15 book chapters for textbooks in Gastroenterology, Colorectal Surgery, Internal Medicine and Critical Care Medicine. Dr Ehrenpreis has coauthored three books including the Clinician’s Handbook of Prescription Drugs and The Prescription and Over the Counter Drug Guide for Seniors, both published by MacGraw-Hill. He has authored the book, Anal and Rectal Diseases Explained, published by ReMedica. He is an invited reviewer for a number of medical journals and has lectured around the world.
He previously served as full clinical staff at Cleveland Clinic Florida, Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Chicago and Director of the Gastroenterology Fellowship training program and Director of the Clinical Research Center Committee at the University of Chicago.

Dr. Tat-Kin Tsang is a graduate of Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He is Professor of Medicine on faculty at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He was the teaching chief of the Section of Gastroenterology for 15 years and associate fellowship director for 10 years. He was voted as attending physician of the year in 1985. He has described seven endoscopic techniques, and a new method to identify H. pylori from stomach biopsies. He is the author of over 60 articles and a regular national conference presenter. Despite his busy schedule, he remains a board certified practicing gastroenterologist first and foremost. Dr. Tsang performs procedures at both Evanston and Glenbrook Hospitals. He supervises a basic research laboratory at Glenbrook Hospital with two post-doctoral fellows.
