(Esophagogastroduodenoscopy) The esophagus, stomach, and first portion of the duodenum (small intestine) is examined using a lighted flexible tube that is inserted into the mouth and advanced to the small intestine. |

To evaluate the coordination of esophageal (food pipe) contractions and the strength, opening and closing of the lower esophageal sphincter. |
| 24 pH Test |
To evaluate the amount of stomach acid washing up into the esophagus over the course of a 24-hour period. |
| BRAVO Test |
A pH capsule measures the pH in the esophagus and transmits this information to a receiver. |
