Funding Goal
The Auxiliary at Highland Park Hospital is so grateful for the outstanding support of friends and neighbors in response to our annual appeal. What started as a short-term fundraising effort has evolved into a successful annual fundraising campaign. 

In 2012, the annual appeal will again support the diabetes initiative called Be Well-Lake County - NorthShore's Community Partnership with the Lake County Health Department. To address this severe health problem in our neighboring communities and as part of its mission "to preserve and improve human life," NorthShore has launched Be Well-Lake County. This community health initiative is committed to providing greater access to comprehensive diabetes care and education for medically underserved patients. NorthShore is collaborating with the Lake County Health Department and its Community Health Center (LCHD/CHC) to fund this diabetes education and treatment program. Be Well-Lake County offers a coordinated network of healthcare to patients and their families. To date, over $700,000 has been raised with the goal of supporting excellence in healthcare.

At the annual luncheon in November, The Auxiliary proudly presented its check towards the $1 million pledge to Be Well-Lake County.

Annual Meeting and Luncheon
The Auxiliary's annual meeting and luncheon was planned by co-chairs Karen Braun and Jill Goldman. The event took place on October 27, 2011 at Northmoor Country Club in Highland Park.

The event featured boutique shopping, a short meeting, lunch and program. The 2011 program featured Gale Gand, nationally acclaimed pastry chef, restauranteur, cookbook author, television personality and mom.
