We are a state-of-the-art hub for immersive simulation-based learning, where the goal is to excel beyond “best practices” to “next practices” in the standard of healthcare delivery.

Our Vision and Mission

Vision:
NorthShore’s Grainger Center for Simulation and Innovation (GCSI) provides advanced learner-focused simulation training and education. Our vision is to be a regional, national and international leader in medical and surgical simulation training and education, advancing state-of-the-art research and fostering interdisciplinary relationships and activities.
Innovative simulation training and education has a long and cultured history at NorthShore University HealthSystem. GCSI is proud to continue serving as a powerful teaching resource; we envision a future where simulation is accepted as a concept, not a place, where the ideas of deliberate practice and safe learning environments exist in every corner of our health system and learning is brought to life.

Mission Statement:
Our mission at the Grainger Center for Simulation and Innovation is to improve patient care delivery through simulation-based training.
