Ear, Nose and Throat Services

The Division of Otolaryngology provides comprehensive care in the diagnosis and treatment of disease in the area of the head and neck. Staff physicians work closely with your Primary Care Physician to ensure a plan of care tailored to your needs. Treatment for Otology (Ear), Laryngology (Throat), Rhinology (Nose and Sinus), Head and Neck Cancer, and Pediatric problems is available. Appointments are available at multiple office locations.

Specific Programs/Services Include:

Otolaryngology 

The ear consists of external,
middle, and inner structures.
The eardrum and the three tiny bones conduct sound from the eardrum to the cochlea.
 

Otology/Neurotology:

diseases of the ear, including trauma (injury), cancer, and nerve pathways disorders, which affect hearing and balance. Examples of services include Cochlear Implants, treatment of ear infection, swimmer’s ear, hearing loss and ringing in the ears (tinnitus).

Audiology:  hearing and balance testing and hearing aid services. More »

Head and Neck Cancer:  cancerous and noncancerous tumors in the head and neck, including the thyroid/parathyroid, voice box, mouth, tongue and head and neck glands/ducts.

Laryngology:  disorders of the throat, including voice and swallowing problems as well as sleep apnea and breathing problems. Other examples are sore throat, hoarseness, and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).

Rhinology:  disorders of the nose and sinuses. Examples are breathing and snoring problems, deviated septum, sinus disorder, nose bleed and loss of smell.

Pediatrics:  diseases in children with special ENT issues including hearing problems, ear infections (otitis media), tonsil and adenoid infection, airway problems, Down’s syndrome and asthma. Other ENT issues for children are birth defects in the head and neck and developmental delays.
