Guided Imagery at Highland Park Hospital

We are pleased to announce that beginning on Thursday, October 22 from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM, we will be offering a 4-week series on the benefits of “Guided Imagery” at Highland Park Hospital.  This free offer will be effective for a limited time only so, please be sure to ask about this special offer when you schedule your Kellogg appointment.

Guided imagery uses the power of the mind to aid in healing.  It involves the focused and intentional use of active imagination to create desired outcomes and goals.  Imagery engages all the senses, beyond just the visual, to help healing occur from within.

Guided imagery has been used in many forms throughout human history in religion, ritual and prayer.  In contemporary society guided imagery has found uses in sports medicine and stress reduction.
