Anger Management

Out of control anger is one of the most destructive and costly behaviors a person can have.  It damages relationships with families, impacts the emotional growth of children, causes lost job opportunities, and can destroy health and even cause death.  Often the family and others are more aware of the pain of someone's anger than the angry person.   Because of the high cost of inappropriate anger, the department of psychiatry offers anger management training,  There are many tools available that can change how you see anger-provoking situations (and we all have them), but it is important to learn how to put them in perspective and  respond in a healthy manner.   In addition, positive problem solving skills  that are developed help avoid many disagreements and emotional reactions,.  These skills can be learned and put into practice in a few short weeks.
