Kellogg Cancer Centers

The Kellogg Cancer Center 25th Anniversary Patient Testimonials
History

The Kellogg Cancer Center was established in 1981 through a bequest by the Kellogg family, in appreciation of the care they received. We became one of the first National Cancer Institute (NCI) Community Clinical Oncology Programs in 1983. The Kellogg Cancer Center has grown from a small outpatient facility to one offering a full scope of hematology, oncology, radiation and surgical expertise.

Our mission for our community:

  • Provide quality driven clinical care
  • Clinical research
  • Translational research
  • Academic commitments

Vision

Kellogg Cancer Centers (KCC) offer comprehensive care for oncology patients and their families. KCC are located close to your home at Evanston, Glenbrook and Highland Park Hospitals. Our collaborative practice model focuses on each individual's needs providing medical, surgical, radiation, psychological and emotional care.

Patient-Centered Care

Most important to our patients, the Kellogg model offers consistent, ongoing treatment from a physician and nurse who work together on all aspects of your care. They are the nucleus of the team that also includes psychologists, social workers, clinical oncology pharmacists, clinical nutritionists and nationally certified oncology nurses.

The multidisciplinary teams meet weekly to discuss each patient's ongoing care. The teams serve specific patient populations, including but not limited to those with breast, genitourinary, lung, gastrointestinal tract, head and neck, and gynecologic cancers.

A Staff with the Highest Qualifications

Specially educated teams of healthcare providers are available to assist you and your family as you begin you cancer care at the Kellogg Cancer Centers. The qualifications of the KCC staff are unique. Specialists are all fellowship-trained, board certified physicians whose practice is based in the Kellogg Cancer Centers. In addition, all Kellogg nurses maintain a valid national oncology nursing certification.

We are committed to providing you with the highest quality cancer care possible. Through our collaborative practice model we ensure comprehensive and holistic care and support to each patient and their family.
