Alternative Work Arrangements
At NorthShore University HealthSystem, we understand you have responsibilities outside of your job. Alternative work arrangements offer our employees a number of ways to work a schedule that best suits their lifestyle.
Weekend Program (Nursing)
Our Weekend Program RNs are required to work 24 hours during the time period of Friday at 7 p.m. through Sunday at 7 p.m. RNs receive a premium for weekend days (7 a.m. – 7 p.m.) and weekend nights (7 p.m. - 7 a.m.). All other applicable existing compensation differentials also apply.
Compressed Work Week
In some areas, employees may choose to work three, 12-hour shifts (or four, 10-hour shifts) rather than the standard five, 8-hour shifts.
As a Resource employee, you usually won't follow a set schedule. Instead, you can pick up hours on days when you are needed. It's a great option for a student or someone looking to earn extra income each month.
