These plans can provide income replacement if NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore) employees are unable to work due to illness or injury.

Basic Short-Term Disability

NorthShore provides a benefit for eligible employees who are unable to work for an extended period of time, and supplemental coverage is available for purchase. Amounts vary based on employee group and elections.

Long-Term Disability

This plan provides a benefit if you are disabled for more than 180 calendar days; depending on employee group and scheduled hours, coverage is either provided at no cost or is available for purchase in varying amounts.
