I have been a patient of Dr Brian Shortal for years. He has always been phenomenal at maintaining my heart health. However, Dr Shortal's true exceptional skill as my cardiologist came when I went into cardiac arrest in the ER and placed on life support for 12 days in the ICU. After coming off life support, I had heart surgery. I spent 28 days total before release from hospital. There were multiple Dr's monitoring my different organs but it was Dr Brian Shortal who was orchetrating my entire care from start to my release. He SAVED MY LIFE when other doctors felt I was not going to live and told my family to be prepared for my probable death. But Dr Brian Shortal was the only one who never stopped believing I would not only live but overcome the many health challenges I faced as a result. I hope his performance is recognized as the extraordinary accomplishment it was by Northshore and he receives the accolades for his skill. I believe Northshore should document my case and the steps Dr. Brian Shortal took to perform a miracle.
