Message from the Program Director
We are pleased to learn of your interest in our pathology residency program. The decision you face is an important one that will shape your future as a physician and as an individual. As you consider your options, we want to alert you to an exciting and important change in our program’s sponsorship.
Since July 1, 2009, NorthShore is formally affiliated with the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. As a result, the University of Chicago serves as the sponsor of all resident training programs based at NorthShore. Our new NRMP program name and program code is University of Chicago (NorthShore) Pathology, 1160300C2.
The residency experience based at Evanston Hospital continues its tradition of access to our outstanding faculty, state-of-the-art facilities, and large patient populations. In addition, our relationship with the University of Chicago will draw from their strengths in research, clinical sub-specialization, fellowships, and service to the underserved communities.
We are excited about the future of our program and we welcome your interest. Feel free to contact us directly with questions about any aspect of the residency program. We look forward to getting to know you better during the application process.
