Evanston Hospital
Lynn Boecler is Senior Director of Pharmacy Services at Evanston Hospital. She has been at NorthShore since 1995. She is currently responsible for the services and operations of the pharmacy departments at Evanston and Skokie Hospitals. She is also responsible for corporate-wide services including our Medication Safety Program and Pharmacy Informatics. She earned her Pharm.D. from the University of Illinois and completed her Administrative Specialty Residency and Masters Degree in Hospital Pharmacy Administration at the University of Wisconsin. She has past experience as a staff pharmacist, clinical pharmacist, Residency Program Director, Assistant Director and Director of Clinical Pharmacy Services. She is the Residency Program Director for the Pharmacy Informatics PGY2.
Carl Conway is a Clinical Pharmacist at Evanston Hospital. He provides clinical services for the cardiology and medical/surgical intensive care units, general medicine and oncology units. He received his B.S. from the University of Illinois College of Pharmacy and is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS).
Sarah Graff has been a Clinical Pharmacist at Evanston Hospital since 2003, staffing primarily in the Infant Special Care Unit and Women’s Hospital. Sarah became the residency program director in 2011. Sarah currently serves as the pharmacy liaison on the Adult and Neonatal Nutrition Support Teams, and is the Lead Adverse Drug Event Pharmacist for Evanston Hospital. She received her PharmD from the University of Wisconsin, and completed a pharmacy practice residency at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS).
Karen Kelly is a Pharmacy Manager at Evanston Hospital and provides services for pediatrics, neonatology, women's health, intensive care, post-surgical, rehabilitation, emergency services, dialysis, radiology and the gastrointestinal lab. She is responsible for maintaining and implementing clinical pharmacy services as well as performance improvement in those areas. She is the residency and student coordinator for Evanston Hospital, the residency preceptor for the elective Obstetrics rotation and an associate preceptor for the resident elective Neonatal rotation. She received both her B.S. and Pharm.D. from the Chicago College of Pharmacy at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL.
Stan Kent is the Assistant Vice President for Pharmacy Services. He has been responsible for all pharmacy services at NorthShore since 1993. He received his BS in Pharmacy from SUNY at Buffalo; MS in Hospital Pharmacy from the University of Wisconsin; and completed a pharmacy residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital. He has worked as a Clinical Pharmacist, Clinical Coordinator, Assistant Director of Pharmacy and Director of Pharmacy. He started the residency program at Evanston Hospital in 1995. He served as president of ASHP from 2011-2012. His interests are pharmacy administration, leadership development, and residency training.
Kristi Killelea is a Clinical Manager at Evanston Hospital. She provides clinical services for the general medicine, oncology, cardiology, palliative care and psychiatric units. She is responsible for maintaining and implementing clinical pharmacy services as well as performance improvement in those areas. In addition, Kristi manages the clinical pharmacy technician program. She received her Pharm.D. from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, and completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at Aurora Health Care in Milwaukee. Kristi is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS).
Joycemon Lukose is a Clinical Pharmacist at Evanston Hospital and provides clinical services in multiple areas. He precepts the emergency department elective rotation. Joycemon received his Pharm.D. from the University of Illinois College of Pharmacy and is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS).
Amber Meigs is the Medication Safety Officer for NorthShore. She is responsible for ensuring patient safety through monitoring of adverse drug event trends, implementing performance improvement, and optimizing patient outcomes. She received a Pharm.D. from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa and completed a pharmacy practice residency at Evanston Hospital. She is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS). Her clinical interests are in neonatology and women’s health.
Jean Nam is a clinical pharmacist at Evanston Hospital and code blue coordinator for the department. She is the preceptor for the cardiology elective rotation and primarily provides clinical services for medical/surgical intensive care, cardiology, and surgical post-operative units. Jean received her PharmD from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA and completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at Stanford University Hospital in Palo Alto, CA, and is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS).
Martina Novotny is a clinical pharmacist at Evanston Hospital. She is the primary pharmacist providing care for the medical and surgical intensive care unit patients the preceptor for the Critical Care rotation. She received her PharmD from the University of Illinois. She completed both her Pharmacy Practice Residency and her Critical Care Specialty Residency at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle WA.
Lisa Patel is a Clinical Pharmacist at Evanston Hospital and provides clinical services in multiple areas. Lisa precepts the emergency department elective rotation. Lisa received her PharmD from Auburn University Harrison School of Pharmacy in Auburn, Alabama. She completed a pharmacy practice residency at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center in Chicago. Lisa is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS).
Jenny Philip is a clinical pharmacist at Evanston Hospital and primarily works on the general medicine, cardiology, oncology, post-operative and rehabilitation units. She is the primary preceptor for the general medicine rotation. Jenny received her Pharm.D from the University of Illinois College of Pharmacy, completed a pharmacy practice residency at Evanston Hospital, and is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS).
Mira Suseno is the Senior Infectious Diseases Clinical Specialist for NorthShore. She is responsible for the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program for the NorthShore University HealthSystem. She serves as co-chair of the Antibiotic Subcommittee of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and is actively involved with the Infection Control Committee. Additionally, Dr. Suseno works very closely with the Department of Medicine to ensure appropriate education in infectious disease-related topics for the residents. She has received several awards from the Department of Medicine and Pharmacy for her outstanding contribution to medical education. She has several publications in peer reviewed journals in the area of Infectious Diseases. Dr. Suseno earned a BS in Pharmacy with the highest distinction from the University of Wisconsin and a PharmD with honors from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She completed a pharmacy practice residency at Evanston Hospital and is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist with Added Qualifications in Infectious Diseases (BCPS-ID). She is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Sciences College of Pharmacy.
Jeff Thiel is Senior Manager of Pharmacy Services at Evanston Hospital. He is responsible for operations in the central pharmacy, operating room satellite pharmacy, and outpatient pharmacy at Evanston Hospital. He is also responsible for corporate-wide services including our automated medication storage and distribution technology, barcode medication administration, and regulatory affairs. He earned his PharmD from Purdue University and completed his Administrative Specialty Residency and Masters Degree in Health-System Pharmacy Administration at The Ohio State University.
Izabela Wozniak is a Senior Clinical Pharmacist for cardiology and medicine pharmacy services at Evanston Hospital. Her other responsibilities include coordination of investigational drug services for the pharmacy. She is the current Vice-Chair of the NorthShore Institutional Review Board. She received her PharmD from the University of Illinois at Chicago and completed a pharmacy practice residency at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois.
Skokie Hospital
Christina Bourikas is a Clinical Pharmacist at Skokie Hospital. She provides clinical services primarily for the medical/surgical intensive care units, post-operative, and the operating rooms. She precepts the surgical elective rotation. Christina received her Pharm.D. from the University of Illinois College of Pharmacy and is a Board Certified Nutrition Support Pharmacist(BCNSP).
Muriel Forbes has been a clinical pharmacist at Skokie Hospital since 2000. She provides clinical services primarily in medicine and cardiology, and serves as the cardiology preceptor at Skokie Hospital. Muriel received her B.S. in Pharmacy from Butler University and her Pharm.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Carol Heunisch is a Pharmacy Manager at Skokie Hospital and provides clinical services for multiple patient care areas. She is responsible for all aspects of pharmacy operations at Skokie Hospital, and has corporate responsibility for clinical and anticoagulation services. Additionally, she serves as coordinator of the Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee. She is the preceptor for the drug information/drug policy longitudinal rotation. Carol received her BS and PharmD from the University of Illinois and is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS).
Christina Martinez is a clinical pharmacist at Skokie Hospital and works on the general medicine, cardiology, post-operative, and intensive care units, and also sees patients in the Anticoagulation Clinic. Christina received her Pharm.D from Midwestern University, Chicago College of Pharmacy.
Jana Parsons is a clinical pharmacist at Skokie Hospital and primarily works on the general medicine, cardiology, post-operative, and intensive care units. She is the primary preceptor for the general medicine rotation at Skokie. Hina Patel is a Pharmacy Manager at Skokie Hospital. She provides clinical services for various patient care areas, with special interests in critical care, emergent care, surgical/interventional services, and anticoagulation. She serves as one of the critical care preceptors. Hina received her Pharm.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Pharmacy and is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS).
Kristi Ryzner is a Clinical Specialist in Infectious Diseases at NorthShore. She serves as the corporate lead pharmacist in virology/immunology and heads the antimicrobial stewardship program at Skokie and Highland Park Hospitals. Her primary interests include PK/PD, antimicrobial stewardship, immunocompromised/HIV patients, pediatrics, and critical care. She earned her BS Bioengineering/BS Biochemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and her PharmD from Midwestern University Chicago College of Pharmacy in Downers Grove, IL. Kristi completed both a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency and a PGY2 Infectious Diseases Residency at Boston Medical Center in Boston, MA. She is a primary preceptor for students from Midwestern University and Rosalind Franklin University. Kristi is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS).
Ralph Schwarz is a clinical pharmacist working in the Anticoagulation Clinic at Skokie Hospital. Ralph has been working at Skokie Hospital for 11 years. He has spent the last few years working on the inpatient Pharmacist to Dose Coumadin program and helped to start an outpatient Anticoagulation clinic at Skokie Hospital. He received his RPh from Ferris State University and his Pharm.D. from the University of Illinois in Chicago.
Highland Park Hospital
Jim Cha is a Clinical Pharmacist at Highland Park Hospital. He provides clinical services for medical intensive care, telemetry, and general medicine/oncology units. He serves as a clinical pharmacy liaison for infectious disease, and hematology/ oncology for Highland Park Hospital. He received his Pharm.D degree from University of Pacific School of Pharmacy in Stockton, California. He has also completed a general pharmacy practice residency at VA hospital / University of Arkansas medical center in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Amber Clouse is a Clinical Specialist at Highland Park Hospital (HPH). She is also the Pharmacy Student Coordinator for NorthShore. She is the critical care preceptor for pharmacy residents at HPH and also serves as primary preceptor for pharmacy students on medicine rotation at HPH. In addition, she is a HPH representative on the Clinical Services Committee and is the HPH liaison for critical care, pulmonology, and general medicine services. Her primary areas of interest include critical care and infectious diseases. She received her Pharm.D. at Butler University and completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency with Clarian Health (now known as Indiana University Health) in Indianapolis, IN.
Lane Gordon is a Clinical Pharmacist at Highland Park Hospital. He provides clinical services for the medical/surgical, intensive care units and general medicine. He received his B.S. from the University of Illinois College of Pharmacy. He has over 12 years of experience in clinical pharmacy. His interests are teaching, pharmacy operations and neurology.
Alice Kim is a Clinical Pharmacist at Highland Park Hospital. She received her Pharm.D. from Midwestern University Chicago College of Pharmacy, and completed her pharmacy practice residency at the University of California, San Diego Medical Center. She provides services for all areas of the hospital. Her clinical interests are in general medicine, hepatology, and cardiology.
Peter Mui is the Pharmacy Manager at Highland Park Hospital. He earned his PharmD from the University of Illinois and completed his Masters Degree in Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy at the University of Florida. His responsibilities include distributive and clinical pharmacy services and pharmacy representation for various multidisciplinary committees.

Mita Gupta is a clinical pharmacist at the anticoagulation clinic and inpatient pharmacy in Glenbrook Hospital. She received her PharmD degree from the University of Illinois College of Pharmacy and completed a pharmacy practice residency with an emphasis in ambulatory care at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center in Chicago. Mita is preceptor for the general medicine longitudinal rotation at Evanston Hospital and a co-preceptor for the pharmacy practice residency at Glenbrook Hospital. Her interests include cardiology, endocrinology, anticoagulation, and disease state management programs.

Jenny Szparkowski has been a clinical pharmacist at Glenbrook Hospital since 2002. Jenny provides Clinical Services to the general medicine floors, ICU, and surgical units. She serves as the liaison for the pulmonary department. Jenny also trains pharmacists and technicians in Epic and has been doing this since 2006. Jenny received her PharmD from St. Louis College of Pharmacy. Jenny is also Epic Certified in the pharmacy application.
George Vass is the Pharmacy Manager at Glenbrook Hospital. His current focus is in pharmacy operations and streamlining systems through the use of technology. He has also been a clinical pharmacist for many years prior to managing, with experience in solid organ transplant and critical care. George attended Loyola University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master in Business Administration. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Illinois and finished a Pharmacy Practice Residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.
Robin Ye is a clinical pharmacist at Glenbrook Hospital and serves as the site pharmacy liaison in the Antibiotic Subcommittee and in the area of rheumatology.
