Highland Park Hospital is a 156 bed, non-teaching community hospital offering general medicine, women’s health, and dialysis services with ambulatory surgery and outpatient clinics. Highland Park Kellogg Cancer Center provides the most comprehensive subspecialty care in Lake County. The hospital is also home to new stroke and wound care centers, and has a newly renovated Emergency Room.
Skokie Hospital is a 159 bed, general medical and surgical teaching hospital. It is a Level II trauma center and named Top 100 Cardiovascular Hospitals in the nation for cardiology and heart surgery programs. Other specialty areas of Skokie Hospital include orthopedics, emergency medicine, neurosurgery, and eye, ear, and throat, with a new Ambulatory Care Center anticipated to open in late 2012.
