Fellowship Programs Overview

NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore) hosts multiple fellowship programs, with most fellows having their clinical experiences at the Evanston Hospital teaching site.  Some fellowship programs also have rotations at one or more of the other three NorthShore hospitals, Glenbrook, Highland Park and Skokie hospitals.

Fellows are both from NorthShore-based programs (Urogynecology, Musculoskeletal Radiology, Molecular Genetics Pathology, Pediatric Plastic Surgery) and University of Chicago-based programs (including Child Psychiatry, Neonatal Perinatal Medicine, Cardiology, Gastroenterology and Surgical Oncology).

Fellows provide care for a diverse group of patients from the NorthShore community with both established and undifferentiated medical needs.

Program Highlights

  • University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine medical students and University of Chicago-based and NorthShore-based residency programs provide teaching opportunities for fellows.
  • Fellows have opportunity to work alongside clinician investigators who are pioneering innovative approaches to patient care.
  • Epic, NorthShore's paperless electronic medical record, allows fellows to experience a fully integrated electronic medical record.
