With more than 140 locations, the primary care team includes experts in internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics and obstetrics and gynecology. Our primary care team works in close collaboration with physicians in over 50 specialty services in every field of medicine, including cancer, orthopaedics, neurological and cardiovascular care.

Additionally, in late 2017, NorthShore advanced primary care by integrating genetics into patient care plans to more precisely guide medical management. Patients who see a NorthShore Medical Group primary care physician, now receive a new Genetic and Wellness Assessment as part of a patient’s annual physical. This personalized medicine tool helps your doctor better identify risk factors and detect diseases at their earliest, most treatable stages.

Through NorthShore’s teaching affiliation with the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, Medical Group physicians hold academic appointments at the Pritzker School of Medicine, helping to teach and train the physicians of tomorrow.

The Mark R. Neaman Center for Personalized Medicine

The Neaman Center for Personalized Medicine encompasses one of the most comprehensive precision medicine programs in the country, customizing a patient’s care and treatment plan based on the individual’s unique genetic characteristics and health history. Thanks to new and affordable genetic testing, and an expanding body of knowledge about the role of genetics in disease prevention and treatment, NorthShore primary and specialty care physicians can deliver more effective, targeted care.

The Center not only offers specialized clinics for conditions such as Alzheimer's, cancer and heart disease, we also have one of the only pharmacogenomics clinics in the country, which includes MedClueRx™. This unique clinical service uses genetic testing to help predict how patients will respond to certain drugs. By developing individualized prevention and treatment options using genomic information, the Neaman Center for Personalized Medicine is impacting patient care today, tomorrow and for generations to come.
